My affinity for construction began in my carpentry class at Henry County High School in Paris, Tennessee. At the age of 16, I began developing my skills building decks as part of my Cooperative Education program. This experience led to a full-time position with a local residential construction company until I moved to Dallas at 20. I attended the Video Technology program at Dallas College at North Lake for several years before returning to construction with smaller projects like bathrooms and kitchens.
My ability for more substantial construction was solidified with a complete remodel and addition to my personal home on Richard Avenue in Vickery Place. This 1927 Craftsman project inspired me and I developed a definitive aesthetic and a keen eye for details in construction.
For the next several years, my business grew into full home renovations and additions. In 2007, I acquired a building lot two doors down and began my first design/build of my new home - where I still live with my wife of 18 years, Heather, and our daughters, Bella and Banyan.
Since then I have been envisioning, building and renovating in a variety of styles including: Tudor, Prairie, Craftsman, Colonial Minimalist, Ranch and Modern.
Intentionally choosing not to follow the large firm model of top-heavy management and administration, I am involved in all aspects of the entire projects, from envisioning and design to bidding, planning and construction completion.
I offer you my experience and expertise, combined with a cohesive approach, honor of style details, efficient, creative use of space, and an awareness of functionality.
